I studied philosophy and neuroscience at NYU, where I also developed a love for photography after a Roy DeCarava retrospective at the MoMA. I then came to Philadelphia in 1999 to study medicine and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. With the advent of affordable digital photography and an encouraging thesis mentor, I started making images in parallel with my academic studies.

Some of these images have been shown at the University City Arts League, the Wilmington International Exhibition of Photography, the New York Times' Lens blog, and my parents' refrigerator. More recently, a selection of my photography has been published in Roosevelt University's annual literary magazine, the Oyez Review. In 2010, I was very excited to have a piece included in Daydream Nation, a show put on by the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.

In 2009, I graduated with an MD and PhD. I'm currently a second year resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
